The directorate of training and placement facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program of students. We have been continuously ranked among the elites by our peers. Our constant pursuit of excellence has made our institute a focal point in education for students and faculty members alike. The office liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc which conduct campus interviews and select graduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines. The directorate is assisted by a committee comprising representatives of students from the under-graduate and post-graduate engineering and management streams. The committee evolves a broad policy framework every year besides a set of rules which are inviolable. Student's members are closely co-opted in implementing these policy decisions.

The Training & Placement Cell takes up the role of facilitator between potential employers and students. It ensures that the students get information on companies and sectors of their interest. The Training & Placement Committee makes pitches to new companies and makes them aware of rapid developments helping in our Institute. Guest lectures & Industry interface sessions are hosted by the placement Committee. It also ensures that the students get the summer training programme in Excellent Companies on Project that provides good exposure and learning. The cell organizes pre placement workshops for enhancing the technical and soft skills of students by inviting prominent HR consultants and senior executive/ technocrats from leading industries. Students are encouraged to take up practical training and gather hands-on experience on the real life applications. Special training Programme is arranged in the latest technology management related areas to improve knowledge of students and faculty. A Grand Job Fair was organized by OGI in which various national and multinational companies participated. Almost 2500 participants from different colleges from Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab tried their luck, in the end a great number of candidates were short listed for the final selection. Our training placement cell prepares the students by providing them the technical and reasoning knowledge in the form of question papers of the various companies like HCL, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. and arranging mock group discussion sessions and interviews.
